    “ Yahad” – United for Israel’s Soldiers                                                                                                                                                                                                                                           

    “Yahad” 100% for the welfare and wellbeing of IDF soldiers.

    “Yahad” –- is the joint organization of AWIS (Association for the Wellbeing of Israel's Soldiers) and The Libi Fund, the official body for donations which benefit the soldiers of the IDF.

    “Yahad” –- with all overhead costs financed by Israel’s Ministry of Defense, 100% of all donations are utilized for their objectives without any overhead.

    Since 2015, the head of this new and united organization is General (res.) Yoram Yair (Ya-Ya), who serves in a voluntary capacity.

    “Yahad"-strengthens and cares for Israel’s soldiers through various programs including: Uniforms to University, social welfare, education, Jewish education and holiday celebrations, bereaved families counseling and retreats, and more, all made possible by the generous donations of our supporters, companies and organizations in Israel and all over the world.

    “Yahad" - is the only organization authorized to receive donations for the welfare and wellbeing of IDF soldiers. 

    As from 2014, General (Res.) Yoram Yair ("Yaya") serves as the chairman of "Yahad" - United for Israel's soldiers

    General (Res.) Yoram Yair (“ Ya-Ya”) - chairman "Yahad" - United for Israel's soldiers 
    Army service:

    Born in Kibbutz Ein Hanatziv, he grew up and was educated  in Tel Aviv.

    He spent most of his military service in the Paratroopers where he held every command position - from platoon leader to division commander. He commanded the spearhead paratroopers company which led the breakthrough into Sinai in the Six Day War. During the Yom Kippur War, commanding a paratroops battalion, he fought in the bitter battles against the main Syrian attack on the Golan Heights, then crossed the Suez Canal with his battalion and led the fighting deep into Egyptian territory.

    In the 1982 Lebanon War, Yair commanded the Paratroops Brigade which made the amphibious landing north of Sidon and led the IDF forces to Beirut. After the war he became Division commander and then Lebanese sector commander.

    In 1988 was promoted to the rank of Major General and appointed Commander of the Northern Corps facing the Syrian front. Headed the IDF Manpower Branch and was appointed as the Military Attaché in the U.S.A.

    During his service Gen. Yair planned, commanded and participated in dozens of raids and operations beyond Israel's borders.

     

    He headed the committee that drafted the "Spirit of the IDF" - the IDF's Code of Ethics.

     

    After his retirement, he started to initiate and lead social and educational activities on a full voluntary basis, including Chairman of the the "Hadassah Neurim" Youth Village, Chairman of the Association of drug rehabilitation villages, Chairman of the Executive Committee of the "Acharai" movement - which prepares thousands of immigrant youth, youth at risk and youth from the geographic and social periphery, including members of minorities and ultra-Orthodox, for meaningful service in the IDF.

     

    He is active in the business sector and serves as chairman of four business companies in various fields and as a strategic consultant in Israel and the U.S. .

     

    He holds a degree in psychology and studied for a master's degree in business administration and psychology. He is considered an authority in the field of leadership development and management, teaches and heads the Rabin Leadership Program at IDC Herzliya.

     

    Since 2014 he has been active in the unification of the "Libi" Fund and the Association for the Wellbeing of the Israeli Soldier. Since 2015 Yair is the active chairman as a volunteer of the united organization "Yahad" –United for Israel's Soldiers

     Yahad organization is the official and exclusive entrance gate of the IDF for donations from Israel and abroad for the benefit of IDF soldiers and units.

     

    Yair is married to Edna, father of four and has 13 grandchildren.

    His daughter, Captain Shlomit Yair, who served as an operations officer in the Air Force, was killed in an aircraft accident in 1990.

    Brigadier General (res.) Yehiel Gozal - CEO of "Yahad" - United for Israel's soldiers, volunteered to join the Paratroopers Battalion 890 and sereved in the IDF for 27 years.

    During his military career he took various commanding roles among them the commander of the Paratroopers battalion and the head of the Armor Brigade.

    Brig. Gen. Gozal fought in Judah & Samaria as well as in Southern Lebanon, where he was wounded twice during the "Peace of the Galilee" war in 1982.

    Despite his injuries he continued to fight and was honored with a citation for his bravery under fire. His last duty was Chief of the Southern Command Staff.

    After that he served as the Israeli Defense Attache in Paris. After many years of service he retired and in 2003 was appointed National Director of the Friends of Israel Defense Forces in the U.S. (FIDF).

    Brigadier-General (res.) Gozal is currently the CEO of "Yahad" - United for Israel's soldiers   and the Chairman of the "Paratroops Heritage Association" in Israel.
